This your first post? Do you install ClicShopping in first?   because without that, you can make an update

In general, you must copy the files in your FTP. If you have respected the security file process, everything must be ok.

hello @AaronJoe you to download the new version of clicshopping first on git hub : https://github.com/ClicShopping/ClicShopping_V3.

then with your FTP browser you take the new shop file and swipe it into clicshopping folder of your server and choose: overwrite if different size or source newer (action) and it should be good.

Something important do not appear here. Do not forget to read the update.txt file. Some versions can propose to modify the sql database, do not forget to do that, because, your application can not work or generate some errors.
